The 2006 National Collegiate Clay Court/West Penn Tennis Championships and the USTA Pro Circuit $10,000 Men’s Futures of Pittsburgh will be held at the Mt. Lebanon Tennis Center from July 1-9.
The National Collegiate Clay Court tournament is a summer circuit event of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. There are championships in men’s and women’s singles and doubles and mixed doubles. Winning players receive circuit points enabling their direct entry into major collegiate events throughout the school year.
The Men’s Futures Tournament is a USTA Professional Circuit Event. Winning players are awarded prize money and valuable circuit points necessary for direct entry into other professional events such as the US Open. The Futures field includes many of the rising young players in the world.
